As you all would have found out today all of the 15mil TypePad sites were simultaneously down for almost 24 hrs, including mine.
Unable to post even an apology to my readers up until now, has practically driven me to sedation, and I would like to take this opportunity to give TypePad the not so purple finger.
My time with TypePad has been nothing but hell on wheels, or should I say TypePadhell.
The company will not be able to sustain this absolute abominable service for much longer, without either going down like the Titanic or hopefully bought out by some professionals who can run it like a grown up company and not like a teenage playroom.
I apologize for not being able to warn you, we were not warned either, so that in the middle of posting one of my longest posts today, the whole thing crashed, and lost the entire lot! I have no intention to try to re-write the whole thing together with the numerous links involved, which would take me too long to mention. I already need to upload all the images which TypePad has misplaced, which as you can imagine with my site, is enough to drive anyone to drink.
Needless to say the image above is how I feel right now, and as you know Garbo was famous for her "I want to be alone " line, which befits my present mood.
Coupled with porn trackback spam using vile language which I am being bombarded with, being sent by one of my sore readers, today has not been the greatest.
My dearest readers, I bid you farewell, tomorrow is another day.....

I left Typepad and have been using www.blogs-about.com ever since.
sorry to hear of the outage and lost work.

hey Alexandra, Garbo's photo is almost as
nice as yours. Keep up the good-work !
in an age full of fluff & puff(ie. puff-daddy)
your site and it's solid-content is
appreciated.

Darrell, and All of You,
You guys are just priceless....Thank you, you managed to have me in tears now...of joy. What kindness, and all of you who have written personal emails..thank you so much.
The next post is up. I am also doing an open thread later today or tomorrow, taking lead from the Jim Lehrer interview with Bush where he discusses all the issues of the week. So we can all get stuck into either one of those two. Certainly the President's interview is loaded full of amunition.
And yes today is another day, I feel bruised, but perhaps stronger for it. My mother always used to say "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger". I always thought it was a stupid saying considering I was always too emotional, and she was trying to teach me to toughen up.
Now perhaps I think she may have been right after all....

As every artist knows, it takes a light, like you, to define the darkness. And since the Darkness values its "invisiblity" most of all, it will attempt to extinguish any light. I am very grateful that you are blessed with positivity, as well as, unusual insight. The more effective you become, the more attacks will come your way. I know you will find a way to delete the messages designed to get you to throw in the towel, without ever seeing them. You will find a way to be heard when the Darkness tries to silence you with their computer assaults and dirty little tricks. Remember the lengths that an alleged "mystery relative" went through to deliver an "anonymous" comment to your posting? Perhaps he bored an "SSH tunnel" through your host? (He certainly bores the majority of your readers.) If so, we now know(for sure) you are a one-in-a-fifteen-million girl! I expect you are so much more. I am sure the other TypePad bloggers will understand! Your readers see no need for an apology. We just await your next posting...patiently!

You might consider PowerBlogs, which is the blog hosting service that both Antimedia uses and turned me onto and in which I host both of my blogs on now.
I guess every company goes through a growing phase when the tipping point hits--it just stinks being a customer during one of these phases. Oh well, I read your blog via RSS, so I got the content--just without the pictures--so even when you're offline, you still have one of the best blogs around.

Well, oops. My condolences, and I hope all your regular readers write to cheer you up. By the way, I want to thank you for your kindness in the matter of Mrs. Claus. She's now doing fine after surgery.

Please do not lose heart, my dear Alexandra, and may the sunshine fill your weekend even as it is filling the lives of the Iraqi people right now!
