I mentioned earlier the story about the Hadji Girl music video from Cpl. Joshua Belilel. Well, I couldn't resist this video. Ever heard about Comical Stress Relief. Well that's what this whole kerfuffle is all about, nothing more. The rest is just a pathetic attempt to politicize our sensibilities.
Their eyes pop out, the tongues extend, limbs flail, they shriek and gag!
"When you press their left hand, they say one of several obnoxious sayings. For instance, The Anger Management Boss may say "I don't care if you're sick, you're coming in today, and your working overtime!" When you have heard enough of their demands, you choke them, and that's when the fun starts!
Their eyes pop out, the tongues extend, limbs flail, they shriek and gag, and then they change their way. After you choke them into submission, the boss will tell you to take some time off, or give you a raise."
"Now you can choke the living daylights out of your husband, or your boss without the fear of a costly and messy divorce, loss of employment, or even jail time. These 12 inch tall Anger Management dolls will help you take all your frustration and anger you feel towards these demanding figures in your life, for a fraction of the cost to a visit shrink. Each Anger Management Doll has several demands, and hilarious rebuttals after you choke them."
Cpl. Joshua Belile and his team have experienced mind-blowing horrors, first hand; blood and gore splattered foes and friends. Are we really standing by as this harmless incident is blown out of all proportion and the hypocritical Islamofascists are mobilizing, hoping to turn this into another 'Abu Ghraib'. For God's sake, give these guys a break.
And no, I am not buying the argument that this is somehow different,
more reprehensible, because a Marine was on active duty. Quite on the
contrary, this was an unofficial, closed-door gathering and the last
thing any of us should wish to see, is a paranoid rise of
self-censorship for fear of ridicule or retribution.
Where are all the 'Bush-Spied-Privacy-Died' hysterics; nowhere to be seen when you need them...well nobody actually needs them...
Oh, and how about this one:
"Dressed in her leather bikini, and sporting the spiked heels, this girl is ready to party! Give her a squeeze and watch out! She goes nuts and starts shreaking like a crazy lady! The noise she makes when you squeeze her is about as annoying as any sound you have ever heard! "
Why don't we hear the MSM crying out, "Women's rights group unite and stop this abhorrent incitement to abuse...This is not stress relief, this is an abomination." Yeah right....
Black Five has got it right: "But if this goes down badly for Joshua, I say we start a defense fund for the guy. CAIR can kiss my @$$."
Scott Johnson asks "What's Wrong with Marine Brass?"
And by the way, of course it's made up, but does the MSM and CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations who filed the initial e-mail complaint) care? Of course not! It's all about Haditha anyway.
UPDATE: One of the boys who was there joins the ATB comment section:
Here's the thing, the incident happened on an open mic night when we really needed to blow off some steam. I'm sure no one else has ever written a lyric or even spoke aloud something far worse. The fact is, we were doing this to blow off steam rather than how the army handled their pent up aggression with the Abu Gharib prison scandal. This was not meant to be something for the whole world to see. It's unfortunate that it made it out of Iraq, but Cpl Bellile, who happens to be a very genuine, professional Marine, should not be held accountable for something that happened months ago while deployed in a combat environment. Do you honestly think he thought by writing this he would spark an international hate crime?? I don't. Punish the ones who have actually committed these horrible crimes, don't punish someone who was simply exercising his First Ammendment right that he was in the middle of defending. Shame on Americans for turning on their military like this!!!

Sgt N,
Never assume that the majority of the nation ISN'T behind you! WE ARE! The bias of the international media only makes it seem that way. Thanks for all you do! I've never regretted betting on Americans to do the right thing. And never regretted supporting Americans when stories first start to unfold. DON'T let the organized forces of the opposition distract you from your mission, or cause you to hesitate! Good Luck and Godspeed!

Sgt, Greetings from Conus and thank you for your service!
And tell Cpl. Bellile he's got talent, and I know it when I see it. We know it's just a fun, let-off-steam thing, but I really love that "Durka, Durka!" refrain. It's fabulous, and he works it in so well, the repetition timed so deftly! I'm talking pure lyrical. He and I know will know exactly what I mean. (I spent years in Vietnam and do not like these moralizing jerks either---especially the ones who make the brass buckle. And you know exactly how the brass will let you down when they feel the political heat, you know it as well as the Marines know it who are now shackled, without charges, in the brig in Camp Pendleton.) You go, Sgt! Give the troopers our best!
As for the odious political correctniks who have tried to harm you because of a harmless song, let them make something out of this.......

...and let that be the end of it.
But Mike, that WON'T be the end of it. Don't you get it? They don't want apologies, they want the brig for this guy, they want a dishonorable discharge order (which they probably won't get, thank God), they want ABJECT F--KING HUMILIATION. Apologies won't satisfy CAIR.
They've got CPL Belile on the ropes, and all they need to do is keep putting in that damnable left hook until his reputation goes down for the full count, bruised and bloodied. How many chances does one get, after all, to have a United States Marine come to you on his hands and knees, groveling and weeping and begging for forgiveness?
You can HEAR the sickos drooling.

The anti- war crowd and including the institutions like CAIR in our society are always going to jump on any incident to work against us. Cair will always push the envelope and use anything to prompt investigation into our govt and military in hope of questioning our motives and yet in reversal situations, when it ever gets close to them (CAIR)having to unveil their financial or organizational connections which could expose their motives; they will always stop right there!

Ann: I understand that, but as I said, these guys are professionals. When you do something like this and it comes out: take responsibility and apologize (as they did).
A 'ah well, boys will be boys - let them blow off steam' is not sufficient in such a tence situation.
I am glad they appologized and let that be the end of it. Because, as far as I am concerned, it was the right thing to do.

Sgt N,
Before anything else, thank you for being over there and fighting to protect us.
Your take seems eminently reasonable to me, and I appreciate your having given us the first-hand perspective.

Great Post
Nice to hear from you Sgt N, and thanks for putting the record straight.
Alexandra, you are absolutely right to call it "a pathetic attempt to politicize our sensibilities". This story only flies in the current environment of rabid anti-war delirium, indiscriminently persecuting the armed forces and Islamofascists eargerly stoking such sentiments to further their Jihadist cause here and abroad.
Having said that, I guess the quick and unambiguous apologies issued by the Marine Corps and Cpl. Joshua Belilel served the purpose of immediately deflating the situation, thus pulling the rugg from under the feet of all hypocrites and spin-doctors.

"There is a difference though: the man who made this 'song' is, as I understand it, still a soldier. There simply is something called professionalism. There are certain things you don't do when you're working for your government. This is one of them."
I don't think this song according to all accounts was anything else but time out for the guys. It has now been blown out of all proportions as if though the song became a representation of the army. It's a little naive to think these guys don't work hard and play hard. Did you think they sing the "sound of music" in their free time? This new entrapment thing becomes crazy, and serves only as a tool to discredit the troops. What now someone is going to start making videos of conversations the guys have in their free time, and as the marine above said on their open mic nights. Enough already.

Hahahaha, those dolls are hilarious. There is a difference though: the man who made this 'song' is, as I understand it, still a soldier. There simply is something called professionalism. There are certain things you don't do when you're working for your government. This is one of them.
That being said I do not feel compassion for those Muslim radicals who feel discriminated against continuesly, who feel like they are the 'victims' (even when they blow innocent civilians up) and who always get their panties up in a bunch when they're being criticized.
